Dial Up Setup
MAC OS 10

For MAC OS 10 and 10.2
(Make sure you know your Easynet username and password)
1. Close all Applications running on your computer.  
2. Click the Apple icon (top left) and select system preferences.
3. In system preferences click on Network.
4. In the box next to "Location" select home.

5. In the box next to "Show", select internal modem. If not an option then no internal modem driver is installed. Install it then start again. (Or install an external modem)

6. Select the TCP/IP tab, then set “Configure” to Using PPP.

7. Select the PPP tab, then enter in the Easynet dialup number. 0198307019 (This is charged as a local call from anywhere in Australia)

8. On the same screen enter your Username and Password.
(These should be in lower case. The username is the part before the @easy.com.au in your email address)

9. Select the Proxies Tab. Then make sure that none of the tick boxes on the left hand side are ticked.

10. Click on apply, and save the settings.

11. To tell your modem to dial click on The HDD and select applications.

12. Click on the “Internet Connect” icon.

13. Click on Connect.

14. Your dial-up connection is now configured and you should be connected to the internet. Try opening Internet Explorer and typing a website into the address bar. E.G. www.easy.com.au
15. At the end of your session don't forget to log off the Net so as not to rack up unnecessary hours of usage
