FAKEOVERS and FAKING IT!
These are two of the services we offer.

FAKEOVERS is designed to help you copy a room you like or get that expensive look on a budget. This is achieved without the need to build your own furniture out of MDF and polystyrene!

FAKING IT! Sometimes the problem is not that you need or want a renovation, but instead need help making existing rooms work for you. How can you ‘fake’ a renovation? Well believe it or not just reorganising the furniture, updating blinds and soft furnishings even removing a tree, cleaning windows and changing accessories can give a room a whole new look and feel. MCH can help you create something that feels fresh and will have people asking “have you renovated this room?”. Only we will know that you have been FAKING IT.

PERSONAL SHOPPER
This is a service we offer our clients to help find them the best price on everything from PC items to beds. We also offer shopping assistance from a design perspective.

INSURANCE WORK
MCH Building has worked for many insurance companies from events varying from natural disasters through to break and enters and would be happy to offer an insurance quote.

When should I call the builder for a quote?

When your plans are ready for or have entered council for approval, this is a good time to organise for MCH Building to quote on the job required. Council approval takes between 6-9 weeks on average but has been known to take as long as 6 months!
You will need to send us copies of your plans and job brief. We can then review these and arrange a time to meet with you at the property to discuss in detail your requirements. We may need to organise for other trades to look at the property before we can give a detailed quotation (eg electrician, plumber etc).
Good builders can often be fully booked with work many months in advance. Remember too, that if you are looking to have work started toward the end of the year and completed by Christmas be aware that you will probably need to discuss this months before the start date.
Mike Griggs runs and supervises all MCH Building jobs personally. We use tradespeople we trust and have worked with over the past 9 years. MCH Building does not run multiple jobs at one time, preferring to provide our full attention to one or two projects.
