Jacques Fabian
Master Silversmith, Goldsmith & Designer
Master Silversmith / Goldsmith, Designer and Painter Jacques Fabian who is owner and proprietor of Silvercraft Studios is residing at the base of the
Kosciusko Mountains near Jindabyne, New South Wales, Australia.
Jacques began his extensive career some 28 years ago in South Australia, where he quickly distinguished himself through his many commissioned works which are currently held by various churches and cathedrals. Jacques also received private commissions which have seen his objects of art and jewellery go overseas to be housed in such locations as Cambridge University, UK, Japan and The United States. Jacques' diversity is also seen in the many creation held in private collections within Australia.
Thus, being confronted by his desire to learn, Jacques journeyed overseas to further his education and completed an extended studies programme in London, England at the Sir John Cass School of Arts. This study trip took 3 years and saw him travel extensively throughout Europe from which he acquired a myriad of skill definition and refinement in his creative freedom.
On his return Jacques relocated Silvercraft to Sydney, New South Wales, where he quickly became one of the largest privately owned Silversmithing schools in Australia. Currently Jacques is actively perusing the full genre of his talents, the culmination of which will be seen in the up and coming exhibition "Reflections" drawing on his life experiences and skills within his three chosen Mediums, namely Objects, Jewellery and Paintings.
Combining the subtlety in objects, a more personal side of jewellery, and with the imagery in his paintings, this tri-faceted compilation by any one single artisan would be rare by any standard. The uniqueness of Jacques talent can only be appreciated in the overwhelming quality and the vast array of the pieces themselves. The talent invested into each individual item is quality of an unquestionable standard.
Jacques endless creativeness, talent and his constant perusal of his craft continues to refine his workmanship placing him as not only one of the last Australian Masters in his craft but a craftsman of enduring timelessness.
