Carmel's Books, Music and 3D...

Carmel doesn't like to get bored. An artist, illustrator, author, musician and 'origamist', she has had many books published by Harper Collins, Scholastic and Simon & Schuster while playing graphics and software development. She has also released a commercial album plus other tracks that have appeared on compilation albums, all distributed in the UK and United States.

While lead-vocalist in a heavy-metal band at the age of 18, she decided to quit music for a spare-time career in writing, returning to music in the late 90s to apply her skills at composing for other genres of music which she has loved over the years; prog-rock, classical rock and electronica. She has travelled the world extensively on promotional tours (press, print, television), performed in the UK and shot the occasional music video to complement her releases.

This web site details some of her writing and music works and provides downloads for anyone daring to listen to something that mixes the popular with the experimental.

Carmel currently has a fun time at one of the world's foremost IT research facilities in technical documentation and development APIs using C++, SVG, OpenGL and in-house-specific rendering applications. She lives in Sydney and London (very confusing).
